About Us
We are a distinguished dealership and advisory firm specializing in Old Master paintings and sculptures, with a particular focus on the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Our core business lies in the acquisition and sale of museum-quality works, connecting discerning collectors and institutions with art of enduring historical and cultural significance.
In parallel, we offer a comprehensive suite of advisory services tailored to private collectors, institutions, and foundations. Our areas of expertise include restoration, conservation, provenance research, collection development, insurance planning, and logistical coordination—designed to support the stewardship and long-term value of Old Master collections.
In recent years, we have actively sought to expand our dialogue with the Asian art world, particularly with Chinese museums and cultural institutions. With growing interest in Western art history across the region, we are committed to building meaningful partnerships that support cross-cultural exchange, collection development, and curatorial collaboration. Whether advising on acquisitions, organizing international loans, or contributing to exhibition planning, we see great potential in fostering lasting relationships with the Chinese museum and academic landscape.
Raimondo Romani
rr@moldefineart.com
Raimondo Romani began his career as a dealer in Old Master paintings, working between Rome and London, where he developed a sharp eye for quality and a deep appreciation for European art history. His early years immersed in the art world laid a solid foundation for his understanding of luxury, heritage, and the value of provenance—principles that would carry through his later ventures.
With a passion for fine wine and a talent for curation, Raimundo launched his first company, Gelardini & Romani, Italy’s first dedicated wine auction house. The company quickly gained recognition for its exclusive selections and refined approach, bridging the gap between traditional connoisseurship and contemporary luxury culture.
Recognizing the emerging potential of the Asian market, Raimondo later expanded Gerardini & Romani to Hong Kong, where he became a pivotal figure in the region’s growing wine scene. Through his work, he not only introduced a new standard of wine collecting to the market but also became a key ambassador for Italian luxury in Hong Kong and greater China. His efforts established a vital cultural and commercial bridge between Italy and Asia, promoting Italian excellence in wine, art, design, and craftsmanship.
Today, Raimundo Romani is widely recognized for his influence in shaping the perception and reach of Italian luxury in Asia, with a legacy rooted in expertise, elegance, and cross-cultural vision.
Lisa Geddes

Lisa Geddes began her professional journey in the art world in late 1997 at Il Polittico, a gallery specializing in contemporary painting and sculpture. There, she was deeply involved in curatorial activities, including organizing exhibitions, editing catalogues, writing and translating texts, and liaising with artists throughout the planning and execution of their shows. She also represented the gallery at three editions of Arte Fiera Bologna, Italy’s most prominent contemporary art fair.
Her responsibilities extended to archival work, where she catalogued photographic and biographical materials related to the artists. In the early 2000s, she initiated the archives for three major Italian private collections, further developing her expertise in documentation and preservation.
During this period, Lisa also collaborated with the Archivio Alighiero Boetti. She contributed to the groundwork for what would become the first volume of the artist’s Catalogo Ragionato. This experience proved pivotal in shaping her archival methodology, providing hands-on access to Boetti's works spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s, and offering the opportunity to work closely with his former assistants as they examined and authenticated works submitted by collectors, museums, and auction houses.
Earlier in her career, Lisa completed a three-month internship at the Rome office of Sotheby’s, where she reorganized the catalogue library from the ground up and gained insight into the operations of a major auction house.
Her most recent gallery experience was with Studio San Giacomo, which focused exclusively on works on paper. This role exposed her to drawings ranging from the 1800s to the 1960s, enriching her understanding of different artistic media and historical contexts.
In December 2005, Lisa co-founded GIGA, an association dedicated to supporting emerging Italian artists. Based in the heart of Rome, GIGA functions as a collaborative space where artists, historians, critics, and gallerists come together to foster contemporary artistic expression.
Though academically trained in antique painting and sculpture, Lisa has developed a broad and evolving expertise across various historical periods. Her career has consistently involved public engagement and the cultivation of social and professional relationships within the art world.
